Ok. Here is the latest. Called my salesman this morning and he did not know anything about the delay fax. I asked him to check into it and he was having no luck.

In the meantime I went to numerous other dealers who had received the fax. The Phase I ultras will not ship until Phase 2. As you all know the over demand excuse is just plain insulting. I am picking up what is apparently one of the only O/B ultras shipped.I have had to make the decision to take the risk and pick up my new bike anyway. Whatever the issue turns out to be I am sure the MoCo will make it right. I can be a very squeaky wheel when necessary.

I agree that it is extremely chickenchit of the MoCo to not just come out and say what the problem is.

My problem is that these bikes are extremely rare at this time and I busted my ass to find one let alone finding one at MSRP. I am not going to let it go because who knows when I will find another. I want this bike. So my fellow CVOers......I will take one for the team and get this bike to try and figure out what the issue is. Good pictures will be posted here Tuesday...I promise. 8-)

I saw my B/O CVO ULTRA tonight still sitting attached to the crate bottom at my dealer's loading dock!!!  The bronze/caramel pearl color blend in between the black and the orange, as well as the ORange Pearl itself, is just beautiful!!

AND, I was looking at my bike in crappy loading dock light that was so poor I couldn't even get a digital camera to take a decent shot WITH FLASH!  NOW, I just have to wait for the bike to get thru prep. cuz since I am not going to Sturgis, and my dealer/friend has sold ALOT of 06's and 07's that he needs to get on the road to Sturgis, I told him by the end of next week would be fine as long as I could ride my old Road King (that I am trading in) on a 300 mile trip THIS weekend.

In summary, the JESTERS are beautiful and will be worth all the wait!!

Great to hear you have actually seen your bike!!! Can't wait for pictures. Am curious to hear your thoughts about the black paint and is there any pinstriping on the bike?

Congratultions to those of you for whom the whelping has happened and you're only waiting for the trip home.  It can be a difficult time fraught with anxiety and second guessing.  Later, however, you'll look bike and realize you were only slightly manic!

I talked to Sue today at Capital City HD.  She said the Ultras were on delay.  I did get to see a SE Dyna!!!  The pics are pretty bad, not much for lighting.

HAS ANYONE OUT THERE ACTUALLY TAKEN DELIVERY OF AN '07 RED/BLACK SE ULTRA OR SEEN ONE AT A DEALER (BESIDES THE PICTURES OF THE BLACK/RED ONE AT THE DEALER SHOW IN SAN DIEGO) IF SO WOULD YOU PLEASE POST SOME QUALITY PICS? IT SEEMS TO ME THAT THE ONLY SE ULTRAS TO MAKE IT TO THE DEALERS WERE A FEW BLACK/ORANGE MODELS BEFORE THE "DELAY" DUE TO "OVER DEMAND". HAVE ANY OF YOU FEW LUCKY BLACK/ORANGE OWNERS NOTICED ANY ISSUES WITH YOUR BIKES THAT COULD HAVE CAUSED A DELAY IN PRODUCTION OF THE REST OF THE '07 SE ULTRAS???

I SAW the black and red SECU setting in the shop JUST out of the creat this was on Friday morning around 11.30 ... so it IS THERE .... as I understood it there was no deposit on the bike ..but I actually saw it ...

This may be old news, sorry.  The delay fax from MOCO is dated July 25th.  No place does is state delay is due to demand, but rather "Deliveries of the four newly introduced 2007MY Custom Vehicle Operations motorcycles are currently running behind schedule."
If someone at the MOCO stated it was due to demand, he made a mistake, do not crucify the entire MOCO.   Is there more to the memo than what's stated, certainly, but not common practice to throw the guilty party under the bus.
 Friend of mine in Milwaukee said there are delays with supplier component(s), it is not paint.  I have no idea what component(s) it is, but this person has always been right on in the past.
