They even look good in a truck. I am taking mine in Wed for the 1000 mile and feel free any time you want to rant about helmets. Saved my life last March. My head hit the ground so hard the hat flew off. Got a concussion but am riding my CVO today. (Sorry about my rant) Ride safe and be smart!

Thank You Doctor for your profesional evaluation! It sounds like I better follow your treatment plan. If I need a note for work I'll let you know :)

Awesome looking ride.  She really dug the intercom system though. Those full face helmets are a bitch when its that hot but I will put up with them every single day no matter what.
Keep the shiny side up.

What are you using for the intercom hook up?  Stock?

Thanks, didn't have it on the '06.

Unless there's something I can't see in the pix, I think the red reflection is confusing you Rjob - looks the same as the 06 to me..... :)

Yes, I am using the stock intercom hookup. I did not know there was an alternative. It works great.

Can't get a thousand miles before Maggie Valley? Stop polishing and start riding.

My mother used to tell me to eat my vegetables and be grateful because some kids don"t have vegetables. If you need to find some kids without 07 CUSE's to ride to help you out with the pre MV 1000 miles look no further than this site. I am sure some of these guys would be glad to oblige. The beauty of this chrome piece is it picks up the alternative color on the sides of the tanks as you go down the road. The orange looks very cool against the black leather bumper.

Jim, it is a chrome piece not on the 06.  Looks like a must have it it will fit.  See explantation below

You mean this bit, RJ?  (Unless I'm missing something, I can only think it's this!)  The red round the edge of the triangle part is a reflection.  If so, definitely came on my 06! (but I took it off when I put the Dashinator on)

Thanks for the follow up.  I had less than 800 miles when I left for CC in June.  Everything worked out.  I just changed the oil prior to going and did the rest of the 1k service when I returned.  Wish I had changed to Mobil 1 at 800 but did it at 2500.

You're right, got off my fat arse and looked.  It must be that mine reflects black so it never registered that I've been staring at it for thousands of miles.  ;D

Yeah, Roger...I've looked at that reflection many times thinking something was "on the piece" only to see it was reflecting off the tank... :)

Awesome looking ride. Thats the first red/black I know of on the street in the whole country. I know that they are starting to show up this week most everywhere. Thanks for all the pics.

My gal was saying she felt a little tight in there too. She is 5' 9" and about 130 lbs. The bigger issue she had was the heat off the rear cylinder. It did not help that we were in 99 degree heat in Florida and she was wearing shorts and sneakers. She really dug the intercom system though. Those full face helmets are a bitch when its that hot but I will put up with them every single day no matter what.

I have seen scrambled grey matter both on the street and worse when it stays in somebodys skull. Makes for a very chitty life for the injured and everyone who loves them. (sorry, went off on my helmet rant there for a minute.)

I did the 1000 mile service on my ride 07 B/O cuse today. These bikes are incredible.

Good luck and please let us know if you decide to modify the motor at all. We would all love to see some baseline numbers and mod numbers on a dyno. I am just enjoying mine as an old farts bike for right now.

Keep the shiny side up.

There's a lot of heat coming off the crossover pipe on the right side...a lot of the exhaust gases from the rear cylinder actually go out that pipe and not the left side.  Sitting in traffic at 99 degree ambient will definitely let you know these motors generate a lot of heat.  Get that Syn3 out of there ASAP and go to Mobil I VTWIN or Amsoil if you are running in those kind of temps often.  Also, your GF will actually feel more of the heat with shorts on than if she had on jeans.

Yes, figured that all out the hard way. Its hard to get her to wear jeans because when we stop its too hot for jeans. She wanted to put her chaps on over her shorts but blew it off. And yes, did my 1000 mile today and noticed a moderate heat differentila after switching from Syn3 to Mobil 1. It is a lot quiter though. Also added Mobil1 75-90 gear libe to tranny and noticable shifting difference. Lovin the Mobil 1.
