i went to the dealer on friday (8/25) and i had a visual, touchy feely..., there doing the prep... will pick my b/o on tuesday.  it was earlier then both the dealer and i had expected...  i can only speak for myself but yes, they are shipping..  i would like to say:  front caliper came in silver (rest of bike is black and chrome) no trim piece in front of windshield,  no chrome piece in front of radio, rear speaker (no chrome trim), and my biggest -itch,   no chrome screws on motor....... i realize i maybe being tough on harley, but you pay this much and there are little things that would have just made the bike a little more complete.    thanks you for letting me vent

Hi Guys,

I've been a member for a while, but have always just enjoyed reading your comments. Never felt I had much to add. I've had a 03 Road King Screamin Eagle since 9/05/2003 and have enjoyed it very much. Last week I just picked up my new 07 RED FLHTCUSE2, which I think I am going to love, but it's going to have to be great to be better then the Road King. ( which I still have )  Any way I just had to chime in when I read 110mofo's comments. I agree about all the chrome bolts etc... but what has gotten my goat more the anything is.. look at you rear rotor... it's just a standard cheap rotor.. doesn't match the front chrome floating rotor. I know you can't really see it, but as soon as I need a rear tire it will be replaced. I like things to match.

Hey Hogit!

great to see you chime in!  I so agree with you.  That rotor really pizzed me off.  I learned from d00d about "stealth chrome".  This one fits right in, chrome caliper also!

At least the rotor on the 04 SEEG are all floater,  Noticed the std rotor on my 06 right away.  Kinda like a sore thumb.

Ok I don't want to piss anybody off but all your points are what? This is America, I bet anyone of us could go to GM or HD and suggest ways to make it better and some accountant would tell the group we could make more money and thus all that we have said takes place. I guess this group is a place to let it out, but hell we still buy them, ride them and want them. This is my 7th HD and 2nd CVO. I could make bunches of changes to my bike, car, house and don't get me started on cell phones. I just want to see more chat on people getting their bikes and enjoying them. Sorry I will get of my soap box.
So anybody get any more CVO's? I have not heard of any more SERKS or anything? Picture these guys up.

Hey, be happy the you have something to complain about. Geese, I wish I had my CVO so that I could complain about no chrome screws/nuts and the like. Yeah, $35k is alot of monies and you'd expect everything including the girl, but I don't think anyone is getting their arms twisted to buy 'em. Be thankful that you can afford a CVO and still have monies left to ride these beautiful bikes.

Yes, I'm out of my league in buying mine and probably have no business owning one. BUT, life is short,(and mine is short) and I enjoy evey type of riding from hot to rain. Besides, I'm giving up a very nice '79 vette and '00 Road King to get it. Now get out there guys/ladies and enjoy that CVO and quite ya crying.  :'(

Or at least move over so Fired00d can clean that little spot for you that he's sure everyone else missed and that won't normally be accessible or ever seen when the bike is all put together.....  ;D .

Heh now I've seen pictures of your bike. I think we are running neck to neck on detailing. Besides didn't I hear you mention about taking the tank off to clean the rocker boxes :o (BTW I'm still waiting for you to give me instructions on doing that [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]).

Forgot about that.  Another of the Maggie Valley endeavors.  You betcha.  A beer in hand, a finger to point with in the other; and we'll cover every important detail (and we'll eventually talk about the bike too!).

So...where do you stop???  You pay XX dollars.  You think all the extra bling you'll get for free?  The bikes as they come are a good value.  You want to take it further, it's up to you.  I guarantee you could buy an 80K totally custom bike and we could ALL still find something wrong or what you'd do differently.  That's what makes them all different once we take delivery and I'm glad it's that way.
CVO used to use chrome bolts and nuts.  Why they went away???  Well, it's because you take a chrome bolt and torque it ONE TIME and you've made small, hairline crack in the chrome.  You know what's under the chrome right?  Steel.  Wash the bike a few times and you'll appreciate the now "stainless steel" and bright zinc coatings.  Otherwise you'll all be whining about why your nuts and bolts are all rusting.  In case you haven't realized it, a lot of the nuts and bolts are stainless steel.

Congrats on the new scoot 110.  Ride it, enjoy it and make it your own!
Welcome to a great place with lots of info and knowledge.

Cheers,
J

well said. I wish I would have said that. Anyway getting one is a blessing. making her yours is an art and watching people crave your CVO is a rush. I don't think anybody sees the bikes like we do so enjoy her and make her special. Forget about what you don't like but enjoy what you do grasshopper!
