I would recommend wrapping the screen with your wrap, and re-installing it in the cans, THEN slide the cores in.
The air gap between the core and the wire screen is about an inch and will really work to quiet things down.
Just my personal preference, though.

Put about 300 on this weekend and the Fullsac is definetly quiter than the Rhinehart, until you hammer it,  but also much more of a rumble at idle and cruising than stock. I'm going to try it with the wrapped screen and see how much difference it makes.

I split the wrap in half and wrapped the screen, re-installed, slipped the cores back in and can't believe they're the same cores. Same power as the Rhineharts, runs cooler without the stock baffles/Cats but not much louder now than stock at cruise speed or under load. It's got a better rumble at idle but 600 mile days without ear plugs and headaches won't be a problem at all. I'm a believer in Fullsac! Thanks to the site to giving me the confidence to do it myself. :2vrolijk_21:

That is precisely the reason I don't want anything any louder than the 2" cores, and I left the stock packing in.  In fact, I would not mind if they were a little bit quieter, so may pull the cores and do the wrap thing at some point, as the stock packing eventually burns out and the pipe gets gradually louder over time.  Been there and done that with the ears ringing half the night after an all day ride...never again.  I lost enough of my hearing being 20 ft away from stages back in the 60's/70's...don't want to lose any more.

Same here with wanting to leave the stock packing in. Hard enough hearing things as it is. Mine was pretty well toasted on the flight deck with them Prowlers.

Once I had the pipes off and ready to hit the welds the first baffle was out in 1 minute 35 sec and it took 2 minutes for the next one. The 2nd had one weld that was long and really heavy and took a little more work.

It really took longer to clean up then the work it self and because I had to run the grandkids home I wasn't able to start this project until late. I wasn't able to ride as it was just before midnight when I came in but it sure sounds nice. I will report more after a good ride tomorrow.

Not 100% sure about the '08's but I'm thinking they probably will fit. I installed the Fullsac 1.75" baffles in my '07 with no problem. The cat was in the slip on but it was welded to the baffle and came out with it. Made a huge difference in the amount of heat and had a nice mellow sound. Was getting a little louder and I had planned to re-wrap this spring but now I'm starting over. Will probably go the same route again unless I discover something a little quieter.
