I installed 2" cores yesterday, took a quick trip down the road and like what I hear. Oldest son turned 18 today so only going for a short ride this afternoon so will have a better idea of what they sound like on the road. Not too bad to install if you have the correct grinder bit. Was surprised to find the packing was kind of in bad shape for only 5500 miles, but I put it back in as best I could.

Have a 09 103 stage II with 49 state converter-free head pipes. Fullsac put 2" cores in my stock mufflers. Sounded pretty nice. Just replaced the head pipes with the new X-pipe. Same mufflers, but the bike sounds completely different. Still sounds nice, but the sound is totally different. Anyway, the point is that there are two many factors involved affecting exhaust sound to really compare it to anything in my opinion.

I did the same change to my '09.
I noticed the same change in sound........different and more pleasing to my years.......very subjective but nice.
I used the same setup on my '`10 103 with the Andrews 54 cams. VERY nice sound to my old ears.

I went with the Fullsac DX headers , 2.25 SD cores and tts tuner....I can say the the sound I have right now are pretty close to a rinehart maybe just a little bit quieter in sound...but deeper then the rineharts and when you get on them they sound great...I was thinking of going louder (CFR or Stouts) but when I went to get a sticker because he saw black end caps he asked if I had rinehart mufflers ... he was not going to give me a sticker because of the mufflers....because I told him they were stock and after he looked. He gave me a sticker. So they are starting to crack down around my way.....I think the fullsacs are here to stay alone with my EPA stamp on my mufflers
funny thing is when I left he knew it wasn't stock, when I took off like a bat out of hell hahaha :bananarock:

oh by the way great performance and customer support with fullsac....just can't be beat!

My bike has the 1 3/4" Fullsac baffles and I really like them.  -Personally, I don't want it any louder.  Also, I prefer the looks of the stock exhaust.  Mellow at cruising speeds.

I used the Fullsac 1.75 baffle sounds nice and kept the look of the stock cans, however the Full sac heads are just plan crude in welds and look. I used Jackpot headers as the welds are clean and the wide band bungs are are ready on board for my Tuner.

Could be true, however, they look much the same (see #47 above) to me.  :nixweiss:
Granted, mine is from '09 and production may have changed lately. I don't have any inside pics, but, the pipes were pretty smooth. I really didn't care much what the pipe looked like outside as it's all covered up.
My '09 pipe was a stepped design.
BTW the Fullsac headers can be had with any O2 bungs you wish.
JMHO, of course.

My wifes 11 had the fullsac "Xb" head pipe, nice pipe, fit well.  My 12 has the Jackpot head pipe, harder to fit into the head, looked good and works good.  My 13 has the Fullsac "XD" head pipe, looks great, fits great, and works great.

I would say the XD fullsac head pipe on my 13 beats the Jackpot head pipe in every aspect, especially low end torque.  It also has both size 02 sensors bungs.

Have to agree with both your posts. The new X-pipes not only made the sound "smoother" on my 09, but they have a different feel as well. I just started re-tuning with the new head pipes, so can't say yet how well they work. Just by feel it seems like smoother, but better power. The welds on the X-pipe look great to me, top notch construction that worked perfectly with the stock chrome exhaust shields.

Really feel a heat difference with the coated pipes as well....
