all according to the spec sheet hae 5.1" ground clearence...how is that possible??
How is that possible? Hate to jack the thread, but lean clearance and ground clearance are two different clearances.
When you roll up next to a curb to speak that that sweet young thing, while dragging and grinding off your side stand return spring, that's a ground clearance problem. And, you'll start carrying a spare side stand spring or hope you have a zip tie that'll hold it up until you get home. i.e., you were straight and level and lean clearance wasn't a problem.
When you enter a highly crowned road perpendicular from a side street and make a 90 degree left turn across the top of the crown, then lean clearance becomes a factor and quite rapidly just as it does in the twistys. Lean clearance goes to zero quite rapidly in many events, and ground clearance isn't a consideration.
