Under certain wind conditions, I think the wings act as "air brakes" slightly impacting the feel of steering. Nothing major but enough to notice. I believe this is caused by the disruption of airflow combined with wind. I am going to try to confirm this on upcoming rides and weigh the benefit of using wings vs. not using them due to this issue.
