OK, now that we have THAT cleared up, IMO I think I would go all the way with your new TTS, getting the proper tune, etc.
As an example:
I just had a club member here buy the "stage 1" setup from another vendor here, who also sent along a map to use.
This member is NOT a wrench by any means, but, I could hand him the tools and he installed the parts and we downloaded the emailed map sent.
This was last sunday. A week later he says he is perfectly happy with the "canned" map sent.
He has no plans to do a dyno session, this upgrade met HIS goals.
MY goals were different, and my 103 has seen the dyno 3 times. That's me!
I like the idea of closed loop, I run crap gas sometimes on the road, it happens.
My bike runs very well and does what I want it to do.
The piggy back devices just didn't call out to me. Not to say they don't work for some. Just personal preference.
If Jim sold you on any parts/devices, I'm pretty sure he will do what it takes to satisfy your goals. That's the beauty of people on this site!
Many of us has bought parts just to have them NOT work as expected. You educate yourself the best you can and take the plunge.
It will be interesting to see how your upgrades finally work out. Be patient, your bike, too, can be a great runner.
