Very sad indeed. I know that it may sound strange to some of you but here in the south most motorist will pull over to the side and stop while a funeral procession passes by. Out of respect. I'll refrain from sharing my thoughts about the truck driver. 
Not strange to me, but that's because I lived in the South for 25 years. In rural areas all traffic stops, even in the small towns. People would stand by their cars with hats in hand or bowed in prayer. In the cities, it was harder to do; but some still would. Otherwise, traffic would not interfere with the procession.
How this jerk could not see the procession or the bike is beyond me. I just think it was kind of like to fools who think they can outrun a train and cross ahead of them. He simply missjudged the gap. He saw the bike but figured he could beat it. He did...into the ground. So sad to hear of the rider's fate. That could be any one of us who choose to ride with the PGR or other service groups. Be careful friends.
Prayers for all affected, including his family who have to put up with this too.
