adjustable fairing air deflectors
« on: July 12, 2012, 04:37:31 PM »

Just a shout out for these... HUGE help on hot days when opened

Adjustable Air Deflector Kit
The Adjustable Air Deflectors feature an infinitely adjustable friction pivot that holds the wing in position to direct the air where you need it. Close the vent to direct airflow around fairing, or open the vent to maximize airflow on hot days. Available in dark- or light-smoked versions, the translucent deflectors are easy to install with included mounting hardware.

Stuart recommended these to me and I couldn't be happier with them.  :2vrolijk_21:

Do you have a picture of them on your bike (not necessarily a close-up).  I am trying to get a good idea on how they would look on a citrus before I get them.  Thanks!

michealbmenaker,The fairing air deflectors came stock on my 09 SEUC. I just rode from Simi Valley, CA. to Floral Arkansas and back a couple of weeks ago and used the deflectors alot because it was so darn hot. They do throw a lot more wind up on your chest area and help to keep you coole. (if that is possible when it is 100+ degrees outside) Almost 4000 mile trip. Hit a couple of nasty downpours on the way home but it was still great. CAHDBIKER

Look fine on a citrus - albeit this picture is washed out because the sun is behind the bike right now.

I adjust them open to bring more air across my legs to cool them down, and I close them up when it's cooler and raining to block more wind.  Definitely a noticeable difference in both positions.

Ok, if I understand this correctly, they can be adjusted to bring airflow down by the engine and my legs???  Thanks for the pic!

Yuppers!!!  They do a great job of directing it where you want it.

Do you have to drill holes to mount them? If so, where do you have to drill?  Anyone got any close up photos of their install? Thanks in-advance!

No drilling at all.  Pull out the small plugs on the edge of the inner fairing and line up the deflectors.  They come with the appropriate torx screws.  So easy to install. Takes about 5 minutes on each side,,,,   NO DRILLING NEEDED!!!

Have them on my Hot Citrus also.  Worth the money!  Definitely functional.
