So if you think we landed on the Moon or Mars your wrong. The pictures were taken in area 51. You really don't think we could go to Mars or the moon, do you? :o

Published costs are $2.5B rather than $25B.  Small decimal error there.  And, honestly, I can easily say that of all the stupid and all the worthwhile things USG has blown close to $3B on I can think of a better way to spend the money.

Having grown up in Virginia, both my father and stepfather worked for NASA. The space program was a large part of our lives. We can say what we want about wasting money in space, but we can thank the space program for our computers, modern medicine, digital cameras, and a thousand other things we use in our daily lives.

And I've always expected to see a pair of Golden Arches in the distance whenever I see NASA pics from these rovers...

These are low resolution images.  So you have to look closer.
