Changed opinion about 07 cvos
« on: August 16, 2006, 05:13:41 PM »

Well first few days after the release of the pictures of 07 cvos at moco web page i didnt like the new CVO line for this year. But now we start to get pictures from members and most of the 2007 line is groving on me.Everyone said wait till you see them in person/under the sun/detailed pics.I think they were right. The only bike that i dont like now is the blue Jester.Maybe thats even nice when you see it in person. So please post detialed pics of any cvos you were able to take picture on this thread to give members a better opinion about new bikes.Thanks. All new bikes are crap.  No new bikes have intrinsic or sentimental value.  Only the '05 SEEG that I happen to own is worth having.  No other motorcycle in the foreseeable future or in all of history is as attractive as my bike, or worthy of lusting for.  I shall not....    come on guys, work with me here....  I'm trying real hard to keep the OCD down...    repeat after me.  All new........

never mind.. It's not working anyway.  Bring on the pictures!

Here it is... [smiley=worthless.gif]

I rode the CVO Road King in Rapid City, you will change your mind when you can ride one.  I was skeptical, I love my 04 Blue and Black.  The new Red Ultra and that 110, makes me think it would be nice to trade.

The rev limiter has to go, other than that, I was all smiles when I got back to the demo area.

I know where you are coming from. I was really excited about the premier of the 07's (110 & 6 speed) and was prepared to let my 05 SEEG go bye bye. BUT when I saw the pictures, I was stopped dead in my tracks and did something I rarely do, used the left side of my brain, did some thinking. I love my Banana and have it set up perfect for me, with all the OCD items my budget will allow, so I have decided to wait for the 08's, when I really believe the SE Road Glide will return.

I hate my bike. It is ugly, slow, uncomfortable, and expensive. Especially now that I upgraded the exhaust, installed a high flow ac and SERT. I wish I bought a Goldwing and a nice matching helmet !!       [smiley=vrolijk_19.gif] [smiley=vrolijk_19.gif] [smiley=vrolijk_19.gif]  I don't like to brag about my toy's   [smiley=banana.gif]

My inital reaction to the new SE offering for 2007 was pretty similar to everyone else. I was actually more mad than anything. You see. My m/c cost more than these new SEEG do, even the SERK. I have the 2003 SERK and now I wouldn't trade/sell for anything. Like someone else wrote: It is all set-up for me, and really needs nothing more but to be ridden fast and hard. I think that the anniversary edition, coupled with the first 103 inch engine, was too much for the MoCo to handle. They priced this way out there ($32K out-the-door) and it was a better economic condition. The thging that is really messing with my head is that 110 inch baby. Great foundation. I really want the 120 JIMS though...
OCD translated into HP and Torque needs. Best to you all. Enjoy our last month of the Summer season.

I made a mistake a couple of weeks ago, drove a friends road glide around for a day. That day the wind was gusting pretty well and I got on the expressway, where the truck traffic was heavy. What a ride!  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] Loved it but would not switch, until a new SERG comes back.

I think Banana and 03 Elvis are one of the most beautiful Harleys ever produced.I would think that they would become classics unless moco does a similar bike with engine upgrades.I wish i could keep my se fatboy for ever as a collectible but time will tell if i will have enough cash and a free spot at the garage when i need another bike.By the way i went ahead and bought a 2006  black vrscr streed rod.Hell of a bike but not what you want from a Harley.I just ride it when i want to go fast.Where I live theres a highway that isnt monitored well enough so i push the bike to its limits riding like 230 k/h wich should be like 126 miles or so.
Where r the pics

Help a brother out will ya? I am trying to make the mod decision on the same bike. Had the fear of god put into me by my dealer re:warranty. Is it loud? Talk to me. I'm dying here. Curiousity is killing me.

I must agree with altugo when I saw these on the HD website I was not impressed. But after seeing an O/B in person I have a change of mind! These bikes look awesome! I'm interested in seeing the R/B. I can't see parting with my banana but I did dream about seeing the R/B parked next to my banana in my garage! ;D What a beautiful site! [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Only problem is I can't afford both. [smiley=nixweiss.gif] Maybe if I sold my house......Naaa! Time to go for a scoot to clear my mind! Congrats to all you 07 owners, sweet bikes. See ya, God Bless!
