I'm not sure about old...but, I do think it's me going blind!

My mom warned me so I stopped as soon as I need glasses!

I've owned both, on the same bike, and you'd have trouble giving me a shark nose bike!  So it's all opinion, not fact.

I hear ya! I just like stiring the pot. I will say I never met anyone who does not love their Roadglide. I am sure plenty love their Ultra's too...    :2vrolijk_21:

I spent 4 days on a 2012 rental shark nose that had 87 total miles on it when I started.
Could not let go of the bars with the cruise on or at any time...it would go into a head shake.  Down hill I could feel it start if I just relaxed my hands on the grips.  It would start out mild and    go to full on tank slapper if I would have let it.  I was renting with three other guys and they all had Ultra rentals.  After the first day of riding I was telling them about it.  One of them didn't know what I was talking about so the next day going down a mountain I pulled up next to him at about 35mph, let go of the bars, and let it build up to "not quite" a full on tank slapper.  He couldn't believe it!  Nothing that I could not control with keeping both hands on the grips and not letting it get started, but it was annoying.
I wanted to like it, it feels roomier for us big guys, but after 4 days I couldn't wait to get back to my Ultra.

Santa Fe HD was getting a shipment on 8/21 that coincided with the Dealer Show. They may or may not get a CVO, probably will. Delivery of CVO's (quantity) depend upon dealer performance, at least according to SFHD sales manager.

That experience had everything to do with the neck bearing not being tightened properly, and nothing to do with the shark nose fairing.  I've never felt my '11 SERGU shake/wobble the least little bit, no matter what speed.

Just my experience with Road glide rental.  Not saying what the cause is, but I did notice on the Road Glide ultra section here there are four threads related to this on the first three pages.
Just my experience, but it was enough to keep me out of the shark nose club.

I understand....in another thread, and on other RG sites, there is discussion about how HD has revised their spec for fall away on the RG's to 1 -1.5 swings, which is a lot different than the Batwing spec.  I think they were ASSuming the two bikes should have the same spec, when in reality the difference in weight on the front forks is pretty significant, not to mention the air flow, down/up forces, etc.  Of course, if your front tire is cupped, rotors warped, etc, it's going to wobble regardless of what fairing the bike has on it.  I love the looks of a Batwing equally, but once you go to the Dark Side you can never go back... ;)  My current bike is probably the last HD I'll ever own.

Yeah that's what I always say about a month before I buy a new bike, "my current bike is the last bike I'll ever own".....I'm probably on about my number 40th motorcycle, now! :smartass2:

JMO BUT ------ the shark nose looks like something that was on a 1977 Gold Wing that was made by Vetter.  I am sorry but I just cannot get over the "look" of the Road Glide. I will stick with the bat wing.  Again this is JMO and not trying to cut down any ones bike. To each his own, that is why they make both.

Sort of like saying "I am leaving this one stock and I am just going to ride it"!

You have a point... :huepfenlol2:

I have managed to keep this one MORE stock, if you don't count suspension on both ends, windshield(s), exhaust system, and TTS.  But, I'm happy with the color, graphics, wheels, brakes, and overall performance.  I spent entirely too much money on the '06 SEUC getting it just right, then lost my azz in many ways.  If HD comes out with a viable water cooled engine that produces the power it's capable of, I might reconsider after it's been out 3 or 4 years to get all the bugs out.  Otherwise, I'll just ride this one 'till it breaks, then build it back right.
