Ok, I think i know this group pretty well now so before everyone tells me how I should have put the wire-tie on the oyher way so as to keep the ugly part on the bottom....I did it this way on purpose to show it in the picture. After I took the pic, I fixed it.

I know some people like the look of the black leather..but I love this look now. (and it's my bike, lol)

Buy Early......Where did you get the brown forkbag?

The one in the photo in my previous post was made by a company in Chicago. The second guy who owned this bike (I'm owner #3) had it made along with some saddle bags that were too small. It has actually been replaced by the one in the photo below. It's faux ostrich skin and goes better with the seat and current saddle bags (altho I still want to change out the buckles to match the others).

If you're looking for a darker brown, you might want to look here:

The distressed leather is what sold me on my sled!

I'm using the zip ties on my lower mount also.....better to be safe than sorry  :bananarock:

I owned a new 2011 Convertible and the seat/saddlebags were most certainly not plastic.  Now there may be some parts (sides, places that are not wear points) that may be made of naugahyde but the main wear surfaces are alligator pattern-pressed leather.  why would you think they are plastic?
