For the last 200 miles or so, my 110 (09 CUSE4, 22000 miles) has started to be very rough, up to 2500rpm. And getting worse. To put it into context, it feels like riding a non-rubber mount Sportster. If you stand beside it and gradually increase the revs while watching the air filter, it's vibrating like crazy till 2500 and suddenly it's still.
Engine mounts look fine.
As it's in any gear, it's engine related, rules out transmission.
Oil pressure is fine, power is fine.
I'm pretty certain the compensator is in a bad way (new SE type one due to arrive tomorrow!)
So, the questions:
1) Anyone else had this, and if so what was it?
2) Could it be the compensator? As it's at the crank end, if it was out of balance, it could do this, but has that ever happened?
3) What else could it be? I'm kind of hoping that as oil pressure and power is fine, the vibration pretty much goes at 2500rpm, and there's no [apparent] problem with the crankshaft position sensor that it's not going to be the dreaded crank scissoring....

Main bearings?
I'm REALLY hoping the compensator replacement will fix it.....
