I didn't take many pics this year, mostly because everybody else had it covered, or I was too busy riding in the beautiful weather we had.  But here's a few:

First day, Brian (110thunder) led a group of us from MV over to Franklin, NC, then up to Highlands, NC for a bite to eat.  The road up to Highlands is a nice ride, and one of the pulloffs is a nice waterfall that you can drive behind if you want to.  I don't think anybody wanted to get their scoot wet...

Next stop was just up the road a bit to downtown Highlands.  I think somebody needed to use the bathroom after standing by the waterfall all that time...   Plus, somebody wanted some fudge and others hung out talking to passerby's who were admiring the bikes parked along the street.  Highlands is a beautiful little town with some neat shops and other attractions nearby.  It's a great place to take your lady if she wants to do a little windowshopping.  There's several good places to eat as well.

Pete and Phillip took a seat on a bench while Phil was smoking his stogie.  I think somebody was trying to smooch on TN, but I didn't get that shot.

We then left downtown and backtracked a mile or so to a great BBQ joint, had lunch, then rode down into North Georgia along some roads we had traveled on prior trips to MV.  When the horses started heading for the barn in MV, the ride was quite "spirited", to say the least.  Let's just say that one would need to be an experienced rider to run with these particular dawgs...

The next day was Friday, so some of the same group, and a few exchanges, rode over to the HD dealership in Asheville.  It's a nice store and we talked to at least one CVO owner that might show up later on the site.

Next stop, after riding up some great roads to get on the Blue Ridge Parkway, was Mt. Mitchell State Park.  Mt. Mitchell is the highest point East of the Mississippi, at 6683'.  It's somewhat unusual to have clear weather on top, so it was a great visit to the top of the mountain.  There's a nice parking lot, then you walk a paved trail up to an observation tower.  There's also a pretty good restaurant there, though we were headed to Bonnie and Clyde's for a Cheeseburger/Cheesburger, so passed on stopping there.

Great pics, Terry.  Flicker is nice in that you can go get the larger versions for saving.

Great pics Terry.  Glad you made it home safe.  Sorry we didn't get down to meet you Friday night or Saturday before we had to head out.  We met some great people at the Tiki Friday night and at the Sweet Briar Friday and Saturday.  I really wanted to come down to the Holiday to meet you as you are pretty much a neighbor to my folks in Autaugaville.  Maybe next GTG...

It was absolutely fine with me when Pete went by me and got behind you...my bike was snorting and stomping it's feet wanting to run free too    But, it's a damn good thing no local cars were on patrol, though they would have had a hard time keeping up...
