ABS was available in 2008.
I saw an ad for a 2008 and it stated in the description "ABS Brakes". Is this correct?
2009 was the first year for the new frame.
You will be making a brand change and it will have significant differences.
I rented a Road glide for 4 days and will never own one after that experience. It was a new rental with less than 120 miles when I rented it.
It would head shake for just about any reason. Going down hill, decelerating. If you do a search here you will find that to be a much more common
problem with the RG's than the batwing bikes.
The fixed fairing is supposed to be more stable, but in my experience, was just the opposite.
Love my 09 USE4 but it is not without problems. Enough little stuff to make me consider alternatives if I replace it. That being said I don't know of any bike I have ever owned that I have enjoyed more.
I test rode some of the Victory's at a local dealer. I liked it and will be considering it, if, and when, I look for a new bike.
Not a fan of the looks of the Vision but it is a great ride. Liked the Victory Cross Country the most.
The HD's are HOT! You can spend $1500-$2000 in exhaust and tuners to help with that but anyone that tells you that solves the problem is full of
BS.
The 110 engines in the CVO's seem to have gotten better with 09's less problematic then the previous 2 years, but you should know that a stock
110 with more than 20000 miles and stock lifters is going to need a lifter upgrade. Stock HD lifters in the 110's tend to fail and results can be catastrophic as it takes out the oil pump if not detected right away. As with anything, there are exceptions to this lifter problem, but not many.
If you buy an HD I hope you like riding it as much as I like riding mine. If you do like it....It will be for (IMO) different reasons than you like your wing.
HD will be at the top of my list when it comes time to replace this one, but they will have competition from other brands, more so now, than ever before.
