How did the MoCo handle the Engine number change (in respect of matching it to the VIN - and if they didn't how's that going to affect anything (resale value, etc) down the line?

Just curious and glad they fixed you up AND that you seem to have a good one this time around

I guess the warranty starts again on the motor too??

Cheers

Dave,
I know that the MoCo can issue a new frame for an old one with the same VIN as long as they get the old frame (neck) back and destroy it. I would think they might be able to do this for a motor also. May have been one of the reasons it took him so long to get his motor as they had to stamp new cases w/his numbers then build motor. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

Thanks all!

From what I was told, (not much there..) they just sent me a new motor off the shelf.. The dealership still had my old motor last I heard even tho they said they had to sent it in to the factory.
