Curious to see where everyone put their bell. I pulled mine off my 09 FLHX and I need to put it on my new FLHXSE3

Right side, engine guard,  Yeah, it was a gift.  Tied on with a piece of rawhide.  Peolly fall off some day, but....

My best riding buddy bought me mine at Sturgis in 1995. When he passed away (bike wreck) I moved the bell up to my clutch cable (hydrualic line on the CVO).
Now when it dings against the switch box I always think of him.

Should be able to see my "Air Force" bell mounted low on the frame in both my avatar and the signature pictures.

Granted, this is bell #2... as it did as advertised when I 'framed' out on some rough roads in Canada.  It excepted any potential damage and kept me upright and riding.

Made it safely to Texas where I was given another one for the trip back.

I see it hanging down there, I just mounted mine underneath as well but toward the oil cooler

Be careful where you mount it. A lot of riders have put it on the bolt in the middle of the engine guard., only to end up denting the front fender. Under braking, the front forks will compress, the bike will drop, and the edge of the bell will come down and smack the fender.

It's a small creased ding that most folks can't see at first, but they'll find it washing the bike.

Funny, my 06 SG has that same dent in the front fender.... I felt really stupid after that one!!!

I heard that to be effective is has to be given to you by a friend and placed at the lowest possible area of your bike, that way the gremlins can never reach any part of the bike. .
