Hello SEFLHTCU,
It's loud enough for anyone sitting on it to hear it, no matter how long we've been riding with loud pipes.
Make sure you have the fob present (in your pocket is OK) when you sit on the bike and start the process.
You'll need to begin with the bike ignition turned on, the simply turn the ignition off. You'll see both turn signal indicator lights on the dash flash twice. As soon as they do, quickly turn the ignition on and off. The lights will flash again. When they do, quickly turn the ignition on and off again. The lights will flash again. I think you have to repeat the whole ON/OFF process about three times before you hear the chirp. Once you hear the chirp, it is changed over.
It seems a little tricky because of the timing of the ON/OFF. I wish I could tell you how long to leave it on before turning the ignition back off, but I just turned it on and off again and it worked. I may go out and reset it back to chirpless (same process) and back on to chirp again tonight to see if I can get better directions for you. Le tme know if you still can' get it and I'll re-check.
