May try re-install. Disarm first! Pull maxi fuse. Turn ignition off .Replug alarm put maxi fuse back in. If you do not disarm before you unplug you will be doing a real time battery test. I thought my battery was dead until I unplug the alarm while active. Found myself running around with a sreaming siren trying to quiet it until battery wore down. Was quite laughable. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

Hey, I think I resemble that remark...Didn't quite read that page in the owners manual until after disconnecting the battery.  Sure was loud....Yep - it was quite laughable [smiley=oops.gif] ;D ;D

I have a 07 with the alarm system installed at the factory. I had the dealer turn the system on. I installed a pager but I can not figure out how you encode the pager to the new alarm system. On the previous years you had to press the button twice like a mouse double click, however that is not possible as they now activate themselves. HELP HELP !!!!!
Thanks

Depends what pager you bought first. The CVO Ultras have the original SmartSiren (1, you could call it) from factory. If you want to use it with a pager you must get the regular SmartPager (1) to be compatible.

To use the SmartPager II (which is fancier, and possibly the one you bought?) you would also have to install the SmartSiren II. (Replacing the one that came on the bike)

I believe there may be an update to the pager owners manual to include '07 'button-less' programming. Your dealer should be able to provide that information.

Best of the season to ya!

Yes I have tried the cycling as depicted in posts 8 & 10 to no avail. I understand that a siren is not required (according to the manual) unless you want it to warn people that are messing with the cycle, perhaps that is not accurate. I will check with my dealer next week perhaps he can shed some light. But I thought again that the issue is getting the pager (was a smart siren II), which was previously used on my 03 Roagking programed or encoded to the new alarm system. The pager indicates that it is armed however it does not vibrate or make any sound when the alarm is triggered. I just can't understand why this can not be made easier to understand. Thanks again all!

Hey there  I just went thru this and indeed the 07 comes with the smart siren I which does not have the 12" external antenna wire necessary to transmit to the pager. so in laymans terms the 91660-06 is the REciever for the pager 68328-06!  both smart siren II   it does work good too as the young men at Denny's found out at 2:45 am!

Perhaps I'm not doing a good job of explaining but here goes again. I installed the transmitter with an loop antenna about two foot in length. The transmitter is plugged into the alarm system loop located behind the computer. I'm beginning to think LO JACK would be a much better option than the factory alarm.

Well, I callled the factory today got the answer to my question even though it was not what I wanted to hear. On page 823 of the 07 accessories book it states that the pager shown (91665-93) will work on 97 and later touring models,THAT IS NOT THE CASE. I was told that I needed to buy the system depicted on page 822, after all thats only another $160.00 and it is my money, but HD would like to get a hold of it.  Oh well another lesson learned, so soon old and so late smart!!!  :-[

Just a thanks to all, on this posting.  I had been scratching my head re: why i could not get my SERK to chirp. Problem now solved thanks to you all.'
The secret I found is to cycle QUICKLY through the off/on switching once you see the double flash from the signals. Dont delay. ;D
Cheers

STOP! HDMAN... the pager on 823 WILL work with your bike. The FLHTCUSE/2 comes with the 'regular' smart siren, which the pager (I believe you meant 91655-03) on that page (823) works with. I tried to explain that in an earlier post.

You'll notice on page 822 both siren and pager are II's, and if you want (or have already) the fancier Pager Receiver II (with the key clip) then you would need to purchase the Smart Siren II as well.

If you have the 91665-03 pager, it SHOULD work with your bike.

OK, I will show my stupidity one more time, after all that is cheaper than new parts. If I use the regular siren (68328-02)like the one that came with my 03 and the pager 91665-03 how do I encode it? the manual says to double click the key fob (which you can not do with the 07 system) to sync the system. Thanks for your patience, and your help!!!!!!!!!!.

Hey there HDman  If I understand you correctly, you put the factory siren back on? it works with the key fob that came with the 07 that has no button. you can make it chirp contrary to what the owners manual says.

now.  you want to use your pager. the older one. i understand that it cant be encoded without the ability to push the fob button.  Maybe the dealer has to use the digital tech device to acomplish that. My buddy was trying to tell me his road king needed that done.   Personally  i would put the smart siren II back on ( with external antenna) and buy the $69  pager  unless they will take the siren II back. the dealer doing my buddies new bike to old pager said they need to get the correct software to encode his so again a problem.   Maybe  a 10# Python in the tour pack would keep it safe and  rodent free??
