After visiting the dealer in regards to my problem I asked them to explain more about the exact problem, they take me inside to the bike and tried to connect their system to the ECM but it was unable to retrieve any information from the ECM, this confirmed why I was unable to restore the original MAP.
I ask them what could do this failure the answer was we don’t know, and they insist to send the ECM back US for more inspection and will not handed over to me as warranty still on.
The dealer policy in Bahrain is if any things installed in the bike such like aftermarket products it will result on canceling the warranty (I have 13 month remaining on warranty)
Now the question is: if the monkeys in Bahrain could not figure out or connect to ECM would the other monkeys in US able to check the ECM?
1-If yes, that’s mean my warranty we be cancelled as they will figured out that my bike is tuned with aftermarket products, any idea how much it gonna cost for new ECM?? and is there any aftermarket ECM which is better than the original one?
2-If no (I will pray for that), after repairing my bike can I use the bike without any tune for at least 8 month (summer 5 month in Bahrain) till my warranty is vanish (I have S&S true dual and Fullsac 225 cores) is this will affect my engine or it will be OK.
Going back to TTS, I have no further comments on this product as it’s the best tune I have ever used and I will again buy this product, however, I have suggestion to the guys at TTS if it possible, TTS tuner reading only the ECM PN for programing, when you get ECM information it will read the VIN too, could this product modified to read either the ECM PN or VIN in case you lost the original ECM?
Thanks,
Sarhan
