all about what color you prefer. To me its a complete "no brainer" as I think the Anni looks Much better then the other colors and worth every dime of 2 grand but thats just my preference. At the end of the day, if it makes you happy, who cares about the 2 grand when it is a toy that you really don't need anyway...

Sounds like a fair deal.  The Anniversary bikes are 1000 more MSRP.

If you're considering this only because the new one is an "Anniversary" model as opposed to a regular old CVO model, then I believe you are taking all the never ending anniversary hype from Harley way too seriously.  The anniversary models are priced $1000 more than the regular models, and you receive basically nothing for that.  The little numbered badge is most likely made in China and costs H-D about twenty five cents.  The paint job IMHO is no where near as attractive as the regular models.  So what exactly do you get for the extra coin?  If it were me and I had two grand burning a hole in my pocket, I'd spend it on something more likely to be beneficial.  How about something nice for the better half for Christmas? 

When you have an "anniversary" model every five years, it doesn't mean diddly.  It's kind of like those never ending "Going out of Business" sales we've all seen by certain retail establishments.

I have had an offer of a new 13 FLTRXSE even for mine...don't yet see the value for me...favorite color is blue---although unnumbered anyplace on the bike, it is 1 of 450 ish in the USA in that color---and I would have to start all over changing to be my own...I am also not one to be to concerned with the opinion of others who are not contributing to the bill (or sleeping with me at night)

  I would keep what you have ... looks just fine to me. I see nothing special about any of their anniversary models.

Difference in the Anniversary is:  Different seat stitching and color, anniversary numbered medallion, chrome top on tank instead of black plastic, anniversary side tank emblems instead of skulls, no cat whiskers on the front fairing.  And of course the paint sceme, if you like it better.  If you like the paint sceme (looks) better and haven't added anything to your current bike, then I would go for it.  Your current bike is classified as 'used' and you would technically only be losing $1000.00 on your (used) bike.  It would be a no brainer for me if the Anniversary model is the one you would rather have.

$2K is mouse nuts compared to what we do with our bikes after purchasing them.....does the bike sing to you?  When I saw my Citrus SESG it wasn't a matter of whether I would purchase the bike, it was when!

Exactly.  If it sings to you, then get it.  Take off your highway pegs and passenger foot boards and whatever else you have on your current bike and GO GET IT!

My bad... I originally thought he had a 12 and trading for a 13... IF thats the case I would.. but a 13 for a 13?... nope.

I do like the anny blue/grey versus the other '13 colors... (and I dont care for the whiskers either) But these are all personal preferences.

...If you've gave it that much thought already....go for it...you will be glad you did.  I'd do it...I like the Anniversary models.
