I can almost relate to this.   going on 63 in 2 months,  feels like 83

but I knew I was starting to get old when I was 48 and my wife dragged me to an eye doctor cause she got tired of watching me hold the paper 3 feet in front of me to read it.

To put it in perspective.

Grab a Stanley Powerlock tape measure. Pull the tape out to 72" and lock it. That's average life expectancy.  Put your finger on your age. I may quit riding when my age is inside the housing.

Ouch! Was out with my teenagers today, trying to keep up as we did some exploring in Hawaii. I was getting tired and dint trust my footing as we climbed out of a lava tube. An older gentleman (my age + 10-15yrs)who was passing offered me a hand up which I thankfully accepted. As I got to my feet he said "Us old fat guys gotta stick together". Ouch!!
