I'm so jealous  8). That Typhoon Maroon SE8 is so darn good looking  :2vrolijk_21:  Congrats on picking out a winner!

Thanks CVOgirl. That's a mighty pretty Street Glide I see on your post. You sure don't have anything to be jealous about. I definitely love the Typhoon Maroon.

I don't know if I should start a new thread or ask here, I'll let the group tell me what's right. Here goes:

I looked at the Anderson and the Kuryakyn TourPak relocation plates on the web and I have a question. Do these plates raise the tourpak a lot and if they do has anyone found that to be an issue? It especially looks like the Kuryakyn one would but I like sliding adjustment idea over having a couple of bolt holes to choose from.

I have the GA and we both love it.  Giveerner lots more room and it only raises the TP about 1/2" if that.   You won't notice it's even on there except for the thank you's you will get from your bsr.  No rattles, noise, or ant vibration either.

The GA plate does not raise the TP enough to even notice.  I'm not sure I'd ever have a need to move it once it's in the right position, and I would not want it any further back than 2.5" from stock for a couple of reasons...it would show too much fender between the seat and the TP, and any further back could start really having an impact on handling when the TP is full. If my BSR needs more room than that, she'd need to go on a diet.

LMAO, terry!  I don't see Judi needing any diet help! :)

You're right about not wanting it any further back.  2.5" is boarderline strange-looking, but I've gotten used to it.  I've never understood wanting to move it once it's set, either.  I was almost talked into the Kury one by the dealer, but couldn't get past all the favorable comments about the GA piece ringing in my ear.  Glad I got it.  Set it and forget it.  Nice, solid piece.

Plus, George Anderson is such a nice guy, and makes such a great product for us, I'll go out of my way to give somebody like him my $$.  I mean, how many people nowadays can you call up, order something, and the person shipping the item to you before he even gets paid for it?  He's what I call a "Salt of the Earth" person...not many left like him.

He really is a super nice guy. He won't take a credit card or pay pal either.  He will send you his relocator and just asks you to send a check. His product is fantastic.  :)

Most of the time, yes.  When my 10 year old grandson comes to town, I have to move the TP forward for him.  Otherwise, I agree.   I had the Anderson relocator on my CUSE4, and moved it to my CUSE8. Still looked new!  I had no one to help, so I removed from the old & installed on the new in about 30 minutes total time.

My wife is not big, and she was good with the 1.5 setting on the CUSE4.  However, the space lost with the lumbar support pushed her over the edge, so I moved the TP out to the full 2.5."  She is happy once more, and with the fuller apron, you really can't see the fender behind the seat anyway.

I am not much of a hands on person, so it has to be easy.  So far, all of the vendors on this site that I have used have great service, and will talk you through any problems (Fullsac, Anderson, and Jim Bissonette, come to mind).  I even called George Anderson up to make sure that his relocator would fit on the CUSE8, and he told me not to waste my money on a new one, because the old one would work fine.  Who does that these days?  Great guy.

My wife and I really like the OEM seat and will not need to buy an aftermarket seat!
