If I were you guys I'd consider getting a mailing address in the US. Then you can ride your US compatible bike all over Canada and get it serviced there when it needs it. OR is Deely saying he doesn't want any US bikes and the inherient revenue in Canada and won't work on them if they show up?
It would be rediculous to suggest that US bikes on a road trips would have to comply with all of the inspectipn and coversion requirements before they could tour the country.
I honestly wonder how dual resident Harley owners are handling this issue. Here in Florida during the winter months at least there are places that have as many Canadian residents as there are US residents.

Jerry,
A lot of us have part time residence in different parts of the US, however you can not ride your US Plated (registered) bike into Canada if you are a Canadian Citizen if you ride into the country you have to import it.
You guys got me thinking, say a Canadian with a residence in Florida, Arizona or wherever the rest of the Snowbirds congregate has the vehicle Plated (registered) to the residence in that state, rides the bike into Canada imports it gets his plates (registration) in the Province he lives in and whenever he has a Warranty issue puts the US Registered Plate back on the bike goes in for service and provides his US address and simply says he is visiting the Province.
Of course I would go to a dealer who I didn't know real well. however that would be difficult in a lot of places such as Calgary and Edmonton have only two dealers. Of course I think the dealer who you may have a relationship with wouldn't bat an eye unless he was a dick.
