/Bill

Bill, actually those are the upgraded plug wires.

I'm just stepping back inside for retrieval of an adult beverage.  Decent progress the last couple of hours.  All the closed loop and ECM stuff R&R'd, harness for all of it strung and in what should be their permanent positions.  A few more of the external stuff (head bolt bridges and a couple of other things) back on.  And (wait for it) had it running and started through the heat cycling process that Zippers wants done.

Those wires, however, are these things: http://sumax.com/taylor.htm .  The "Thundervolt 50."  Man, just saying it almost makes a guy tingly all over.  All kidding aside (for the moment) they are supposed to be wizz bang super duty exoatmospheric plug wires guaranteed to cause an erection in the healthy male at least 28ms faster than a pair of bare bodacious teenage cheerleader breasts.  You're right though.  They're not especially attractive.  Fortunately when you get the head bolt bridges back on around them they blend in and you really don't see much of them.  More pictures of it with all the external stuff later.

Yeah Don, FIX THAT and while you're at it do something about the fuel line and connector. You know they make chrome thingy's for that !

Gorgeous motor Don. How's it run ? Does it run ? LOL

Don,
Looking good, I knew there was no way in hell you were going to wait until next weekend to complete this project. Thanks for making the voices in my head correct. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]

No D00d, you're correct.  Was able to grab the parts needed to finish this afternoon.  At that point I was no longer waiting regardless of what other demands might suggest.

Well crap, hurry up and wait.  Had done the first firings with the stock ECM in place.  If there was an issue didn't want to be chasing two systems at the same time.  Now have gone through the rest of the Thundermax hardware install and initial setup steps.  But need the engine to cool down before can finish its setup and then take it for a ride.  So have some dead time.

Here is what the plug wires will look like hidden a bit more by the cylinder head bridges:
