Thanks to ALL...I love this site.

Like some older "ladies" do......SHE'S HAD "A LITTLE WORK DONE"  ;D.

SE 1550 KIT
SE Forged Pistons
SE Quick Install P/Rods
SE 258 Cams
SE 42 MM F/S Mikuni
SE K&N A/C & Breather kit
S&S/Crane Fireball HI-4TC88 Perf. Ign.
V & H Chrome Pro Pipe HS
....and some other "bling" and stuff...including a "new" riding hat (Thanks Janice)   ...and there's still more work to do...maybe next week.
Found a NEW-IN THE BOX (obsolete) matching mini back rest pad too (with ALL the removeable H/W)... (Thanks H-D of Cincinnati, Ohio), so my spouseling can hang out with me and my mistress  :P

...here's a pic of my "NEW TO ME" replacement mistress...

I agree with flaheatwave, on the mikuni & 2-1 exhaust. The only carbed ride I have left is my 02heritage,john deere & homelite chainsaw. I put a big smooth-bore mikuni on heritage, ran friend with stock carb on fatboy & dusted his breeches. good $300 investment. don't know what you're doin on fuel system. I'm sure your motor guy will lead you in a good direction. may ask about a mikuni. I've tried s7s on other bikes. not for me, too finicky. I like the idle adjustment cable & thumb screw on mikuni

I have the 51mm SE CV carb on the 103 6sp with a 635 lift cams and a lot of compression, and it starts and runs better than either of my efi bikes.
The reason I went with the SE 51mm instead of the Mikuni is under various conditions the idle fluctuates on the Mikuni, whereas the SE never really fluctuates

The Mikuni was great on my friend's 95" '02 FXDWG2. It started great and pulled from idle to the limiter.
