Installed today. Head pipes when on without issue although the O2 port on the front is angled and I had to unhook the connector from the metal under the voltage regular to have enough legnth to plug in the connector. heat shields for the head pipes were easy enough. it was difficult to get the muffler far enough forward to bolt it to the mounting bracked but after some wiggling and pushing the bolt went through. that being said, the headpipes were fully engaged in the collector. next the collector heat shield did not fit at all. it was about 1.5" to short to cover the head pipe heat shields. I called Bassani and it seems there are different configurations of the collector and collector heat shield. I sent a few pictures and they are making one up to fit (for Free!! and sending it to me). It's the newer one that has the contour in it so it fits to the pipes a little better. if you have seen the pictures of the new model vs the older picture you know what I'm talking about. started her up to hear the sound. I was in a small garage and it sounded very deep and very loud. Might sound different outside but that will have to wait for better weather.
Can't say enough good about Bassani, instant help from the tech line and a new part being made and shipped for free. Harley could learn a thing or two from them.
If I had it to do over I would have waited for the specific model for the breakout. old part # STR-237SM, New part # 1S32R
