Well, I bolted the Kerker Stouts on last night.  Idles a little choppy, as soon as the weather breaks and my 3/4 mile dirt road dries out I will schedule a day with the tuner and my scoot dialed in!  I have to tell you, these Kerker Stouts sound bad a@@, a lot like the CFR's but I haven't heard any issues with tuning them like the CFR's?  I tried to post a sound clip but the file was too big?  If you go to YOU TUBE, Yaffe has a real good sound clip of these mufflers.  Very happy, $300 for the tune, then the DayMakers in May!

You made the right choice.  I've had lot's of bikes including BMW's, Kawasaki's, Yamaha's, and Harley's. The new CVO's with the 110 motor, Brembo brakes, electonic cruise control, great stereo, and good ergo's are the absolute best choice for me.

Very easy decision....NO WAY, not for me!  The bike was incredible to ride, the handling and the technology, balance, it was unbelievable.  The place was busy, I walked away from the bike to talk to my friend who rode up on his Ultra, I turned and looked at the BMW, and it did nothing for me.  I looked at the people in their Kevelar outfits and said this isn't me!  I like my loud, awesome to look at and clean, fun to ride, gets noticed Harley Davidson.  I was impressed with the BMW bike, but I will stick with their cars and keep my  FLHTCUSE.  Chit, the thing was so quiet that I was afraid no one would hear me or see me, the sterio system was terrible, plus I would look funny with a sleeveless t-shirt and my tatoos.  Thanks for the advice.

I went through the same range of emotions regarding the 1600GTL. Rode one two different occasions, blown away by the power, handling, and technology but it never felt right, never looked right, never sounded right, never made me smile. I have ridden BMW's for a long time and still have a GS and still dress up in Kevlar occasionally to go off road but I just don't fit on their touring bikes and they don't fit me. Glad your happy with your choice.

I was torn between my 2009 Ultra Classic CVO and the K-1600GTL. After doing my research I took the BMW out for a 3 hour test ride on different types of roads and it is an awesome bike! The technology and performance is very impressive  ......... 120 mph feels like you are only doing 70 mph. But it obviously is not a Harly they are two totally designed bikes. The BMW is about 225 lighter than my Hog and it was windy that day and it was pushing that BMW around. I'm a long distant rider and the BMW does not work for me because of the different riding position form my Hog. I'm 60 and I'm not into much speed anymore ..... comfort is my number one concern and my Hog gives me that. Now my BMW itch has been satisfied. I would suggest that if you are interested in the BMW take it out for a day to get a real feel for what it is.

I felt the same way about the BMW.  Nice bike.  My BSR didn't like it to much.  And I really like my se6 looks and the sound of the engine.  Too bad you can't have both.

If you own a BMW dealership.  By it and put it under the dealerships name and have a custom license plate frame with the dealer logo on it and use it for advertising.  Might ask your accountant.  Not sure if they make dealer tags for motorcycles..  If you know the guy that sells them bikes he might give you some commission if you send him some customers also.

But glad you decided to keep your harley.

if you save $6000 on the bmw
and lose $6000 on the sale of your harley

                                   did you get anywhere?

and if you didn't lose $6000 on the harley then you didn't have enough accessories and that's why you're even wondering

After all the BS, I came back from our trip to the Ozarks (2,800 mi) and felt beat up.  I decided to list my RGU and get the BMW GTL 1600 and buy a used Fat Bob or Fat Boy to play around and get my custom HD fix and sound.  For trips up to the UP along with our annual trip, I think I am ready to find comfort and ease of riding.  Out of the 9 guys on our trip, 7 Harleys, 2 Gold Wings.  The guys on the Gold Wings weren't nearly as tired at the end of each day as we were.

"When you park your bike, if you don't turn around to admire it as you leave, you bought the wrong one...."

The quote from Russ pretty much sums it up. Never thought about it like that before, but I do turn around alot.

I am going the other way. Sold my 2012 CUSE last year and picked up a 2013 K1600GTL this summer with all the equipment on it. Put 2200 miles on it in a few weeks but can't get along with it for some reason. Engine and handling is top notch and I have no complaint but I miss my CVO.

So I talked to my HD dealer yesterday and did a handshake deal on a 2014 CUSE. (Probably September delivery)

The K1600 will go up for sale next week.

By the way if you get one get a radar detector. It is impossible to ride the speed limit, it just want to go.

I didn't pull the trigger yet, but I have to say, the bike is incredible and your right, just like their cars, you have no sense of your real speed!  The handling and balance on that bike is unbelievable.  I have a couple of issues that may end up killing the idea.  I love my music when I ride and the sound system sucks.  That can be remedied, but the bigger issue is that i stand 5'7' with a longer torso and shorter legs.  When I stop the foot pegs arein my way becasue i can't spread my legs out wide enough to be flat footed.  Also, the way I sit on the bike, it feels like I have too much weight pushing forward, short arms? But my hands ge numb pretty quick, faster than the vibration of a Harley.  I took the bike for a weekend demo because I work wiht BMW and I know the owner of the store just to make sure its the right decision.  I will log a couple hundred miles today which should give me a good feel for the bike.  So far, ride, handling 10 out of a 10, functionality 10 out of 10, ease of ownership 10 out of 10 (don't have to polish and clean chrome).  COmfort, for mea 5 becasue I'm not sure I fit well on the  bike and the sound system sucks.
