...for what? to keep up with the Jones? If they come up with a 9 speed and reverse in 3 gears with a TV and uplink of some kind I plan on riding my 07 until I can't or my wife wants it.
here! here! This one's for you.[smiley=drink.gif] .... While I can certainly sympathize with the "I want one of everything" crowd, my scoot was "all I ever wanted" when I bought it, and it will certainly remain good enough for me til the day I die. They can come up with 347 cubic inch motors with eleventy-bazillion HP and 3-foot wide tractor-trailer rear tires - I'll stay with my machine.
I did notice that the local stealer is trying to compete with MoCo in the original concept of the CVO. I was down there yesterday and saw on the floor 2 models, '07 Softail Custom (FXSTC) and '07 Street Glide (FLHX), each completely customized with #/100 paint sets, "Blade" custom wheels, braided cables and a
whole lot of chrome. Asking price for these ($18k-ish MSRP) bikes? mid-30's. All work done at the stealership.
It will be interesting to see if this stealer trend catches on, and how it affects (if at all) the CVO community.
