Oh well it was a shot in the dark, either way though that was still probably the last time yours was in a stock configuration. That is if it left the dealer stock. :o [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]

It did Gary.  If I remember correctly it was stock for 7 miles.  That was long enough to ride it three blocks from the dealership, run out of gas, coast in to the gas station, fill up, ride to a local favorite diner for dinner and ride it on home.  That night I think it got:

Eagle Kickstand
Progressive Shocks
Windshield trim
Grips
and a dozen or so other trinkets that were here waiting for it already.

The exhaust and Power Commander didn't get changed until the following weekend......

I knew it wasn't long. I think I remember you saying you had joined this site before you got your bike, and we all know the influence this place will have on you. [smiley=nervous.gif]

I think mines stayed pretty much stock (I added the King Tourpak when purchasing) for a week or two. Only thing I added before taking it on a trip was the highway pegs. Didn't want to add/do a lot of stuff when I knew I was going to be far from home/dealer that would have done the add-ons.

That's about right.  Think I found the site about a month before the bike got here.  Ordered the bike one afternoon and found the site that night.  Then read until like 4:00 in the gawdawful AM and did the same thing the next night.  I was a sick OCD puppy before stumbling in here though.  This place just made it a target rich environment.

But even being in some forward position for shipping doesn't explain it because they are actually shipped in a forward and reverse mounted position.  That's where they gain the length savings for shipping.  So the shop boy has to actually unbolt it, turn it around and remount it.  And yet I've never seen one that didn't get remounted in the forward (too tight for many) position.

Not sure the 07's come backwards. I saw one at my local dealer right out of the crate and the seat was bolted in the forward position with some gray foam stuff underneath instead of corrigated cardboard.
