Maybe a full blown "PRO" version that is only available to qualified tuners with a dyno.

That is what I would like to see.

Maybe?  But not as you might think. Talking freely about TTS and other tuning devices got shut down on another site. Tuners that tuned with it became a target of ridicule. Manufactures became a target. Even the mod of the tuning zone came here to get straight talk about the TTS.

I like to discuss tuning. I do it for a living and think about it a lot. I would love a forum that can get past tuning devices and talk about actual tuning.

Some others feel the same.  Might be a decent thing.

Mods from the other site lost a lot of credibility as well as respect due to the axing of the TTS threads IMO.
It would have been much better to just clean up a few posts and leave the good info.
The purpose of these tech sites is to promote learning and share knowledge or so I thought.
I sure hope this one stays clean.
it should or I will do my best to clean it up

I share your sentiments fella's, tuning is tuning, its the how of it that interests me, the device used is just a tool to get it done, to be able to discuss all of them without agro would be great, I use TTS but they all hold an interest to me, great to be here.

The mods over there swear he hacked the vision.  I can't see the guy taking the time to do that.  Besides a 5 minute phone call to Drew would be easier and quicker.  They are friends.
that wasn't a "mods" comment from that site, that was implied by one mod (me) to wurk truk during a private telephone conversation as an explanation of why a thread was going to be pulled (the thread gave the impression that this may have occurred based on posting proprietary information).   This is not something I would have posted in public, nor has this ever been posted in public on that other site.

Even the mod of the tuning zone came here to get straight talk about the TTS.
that mod probably won't stay long if I see if there is more of a focus on airing dirty laundry than actually focusing on the tuning system.

I have posed a couple of questions in regards to the VCI and how stores calibrations and if it can be accessed. Any one know?

Right now, I am going to clear the AFV's and do a data run while running some errands.

Don't see your post.  In MasterTune under the file tab.  Load tuning file from interface.  This will bring up you last file you loaded into the bike.  It will not show you the MTE here though, but it is in the interface if you saved the original MTE.

I have nothing else to say on the other matter.

I agree, I've been gone for near 3 months from there and it sounds like nothing has changed. Let's leave it behind and not bring it here.

Changing the Spark Plug, Spark Plug Gap, Spark Plug wire, compression ratio or coil all has an effect on the ION sense system. Some better some worse and I do not know all the answers on it as each one would have to be tested and evaluated.

I've seen, and screwed up my old 106 pretty badly by having the timing enough retarded... that the ION sense was pulling timing.... again.  The timing needs to be fairly close is my surmise from all of that.  I ended up so retarded that I burnt the valves.  That is when I made it into a 107.

Steve
There has been some discussion about departing from use of the HD-6R12 plug and implications relevant to ion sensing and knock.
I am particularly interested in the NGK iridium plugs which are very popular (DPR7EIX and DCR8EIX).
Can you tell me whether there are any adverse effects when using these plugs?
Thanks

Run your updater. New V-Tune update is out.

Done. What does "improve check limits" do?
