In this economy, I had no idea that anybody was paying over MSRP for anything??
Personally, I would never pay over MSRP for any new vehicle. (I waited for almost a year to purchase the '06 Zo6 when people were paying $5k - $20k over just to "be one of the lucky few" when I found one at a small dealer about 100 miles away and called on it, the owner was saying "make me an offer", the conversation ended with me saying 'MSRP'. 45 mins later the GM calls me an tells me that "We would be happy to sell you at MSRP")
'Had a good friend of mine that made a lot of $$ "flipping" Harleys back in the day, (mid 90s to the early 00s) before the MoCo ramped up their production to meet demand at the time.
My Dealer, Heritage HD in Ft. Walton, never charged more than MSRP (even back in the day), just here's what / when we have coming in, if you want it, put down a small deposit and we'll call you.
One thing I figured out in life; the more you are in a hurry the more it's going to cost and vise versa.
If paying over MSRP works for you, than good on 'ya, it just doesn't fit my business scenario
