Roger Fleener is a character though isn't he? I've known him for decades now.  What a great guy. :2vrolijk_21:

That doesn't look like Robin?   ???

He's the guy on the left of the green shirt,  from the vtwin show in Cinci.

Holy Cow, Jerry!  Been there, done that as they say.....but so glad that you could end up at a great dealership and get this taken care of.....as you know, ride these things long enough and these major problems sure will occur.  Thanks for the postings, pics, etc. as they help us all to learn ( in this case who a great dealership and tech are, etc.)  Good luck and hope to see ya'll soon.....will follow this with great interest, my friend.   spyder

Roger is the kind of guy every dealership needs!  He is the type of personality that instantly makes you feel comfortable and that you've known him a long time and haven't seen him for a while.  The events he plans for the dealership and their HOG Chapter are spectacular.  We talked a lot about the great roads and rides we have had.  We learned about some roads we were not aware of (as did he) and he went back and printed off as much information about some of the roads as he could find and gave that to us.

The entire crew at Gail's was fantastic.  And Robin said 'thanks' to you for suggesting I bring my bike to him.  And I will say thanks to you also.   :2vrolijk_21:

It must be a comforting and reassuring feeling to have your bike serviced somewhere that still believes in troubleshooting maintenance issues and is proud to have disciplined, experienced and well trained maintenance technicians.  Wish there was a service department like that within riding distance of my town.  Sounds like you are in good hands and got taken care of professionally.

GOOD NEWS1   :2vrolijk_21:

Just got a call from Gail's H-D saying that the moco has authorized an brand new motor for my CUSE7.  Best possible outcome as far as I am concerned.  Anytime little bitty pieces of metal are floating around in the oil it is not good.  No matter how thoroughly one cleans everything there is no telling where those pesky little buggers could have migrated and hid out to cause future problems.

That's great news Jerry.  If your schedule at completion gives any advance notice let me know when you're headed up to pick it up.  Would love to meet you up there for a bit to say hi.

Will try to make that happen Don. We were thinking about coming home they Joplin and saying Hi to you, Travis and Susan but the motor trouble kinda nixed that.

Got to be in MI week after next to see friends there.  Have to see how timing works out. Hope it will.

Yes, Coyote, That's me.  I donate my ponytail every 5 years to Locks of Love, and it was time.

Wonder if they go after the lifter vendor for the cost of the replacement motor?!
