Firedood, some thoughts about a GPS; I really like having the ability to "see" where I am in raltion to the terrain. I also like being able to see what is ahead on the road. For example, on our trip to Sturgis this summer, some of the back roads were pretty twisty, and I knew what to expect from the next turn before I got there. It also is nice know how far it is to the next point or turn. I have the HD Quest, and am not real impressed with the screen, as far as visibility during bright sun. I am interested in actually seeing the new Zumo, as it is supposed to be much better in bright sun. I mounted mine to the inner fairing, but would not do that again. I would rather use the handlebar mount so I could change it out if needed. I also like being able to plan my routes on the computer, download them to the unit and be ready when I ride. I think once you have one, you will really enjoy using and having it, and wonder why it took you so long to buy one [smiley=nixweiss.gif] I think if you wait a little, the price will come down and they will seem more cost effective. Good luck on your decision, and let us know what you decide to do. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]
