After reading all the comments, IMO, since the CVO is top of the line the expense on their end is why their not reacting in your favor.
If you had a sportster it would be No problem to get a loaner, or to fix it.
I don't understand the business model of Harley Davidson, they think they have the market on motorcycles and by the way they treat customers that have already spent 10's of thousands of dollars with them it is apparent this is a one time case, and will do nothing to support the customer.
There are 4 or 5 forums on the internet that HD cannot control, if I were you I'd post my story in as many forums as I could about how you were being treated.
This CVO forum doesn't have as many members as some of the larger viewed motorcycle forums.
There are many consumer complaint forums out there too, I'd voice my concern all the way around.
Please look up the AG in the State of Texas on the Lemon Laws.
Keep an accurate log of all communications, have the Harley dealer put everything in writing, time, date, etc.
When you called Harley put down the name of the persons you spoke with.
I record everything, I have a pen video camera I use, it might be worth you money to purchase one.
There is a Harley representative for complaints for your Harley dealer district, speak with him, record the conversation,do it at the dealer have the dealer to request a meeting with him.
There is a time limit to fixing vehicles according to lemon laws, keep track of how long it takes them to fix it.
I've had friends order frames, it takes about 3 to 6 weeks to get a new frame.
You'll need to get a new title, I believe the frames have the VIN stamped on it, Harley should pay the cost, demand that they pay!
Bottom line, Lawyer up with a Lemon Law attorney.
Remember, Harley Davidson and the Dealer got their money when you rode you bike out the door!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
