I have a 2011 SESG and have the Hi-Output slip-ons and have ordered the Power Duals. I did a fair amount of research including calls out to V&H for clarification. The only thing I would add to the advice you have already been given, is that V&H says that the Power Duals are a better choice as they provide the correct amount of back pressure. A lengthily, technical explanation followed, and if you want that information merely call V&H and talk to a rep. I was satisfied with the explanation. Moreover, my understanding is that the Power Duals do not have a catalytic converter which is why they have a disclaimer that states they, "May not be street legal in all States", however, this feature (or lack thereof) further reduces heat.
I'm sure you are aware that you will need some adjustment to your ECM and V&H has their "Fuelpac". Most techs here will steer you toward a TTS or a Racetuner, both are more accurate and provide more impressive Dyno results, also they are more expensive. On the V&H website there are videos about installing both if you are planning to do this yourself. IF you are handy AND you are going with a TTS or Racetuner you MIGHT want to consider cutting OUT the catalytic converter and welding it back together, I looked at this too, but it is beyond what I can do in my garage.
Finally, I go places where there are "events" that draw groups of riders. I have tracked down a few of these installations and listened to the pipes and spoke with the owners. I made the choice to go with this one.
