Huge difference between the 255's and the 585's    The 585's are 20" taller and you can see the longer duration on the lobes. I hope they are quieter dew to the smoother curve on the lobe.  We will see, or hear that is.

The shop manual I bought when I took delivery says .003 and then a few months later they decided .012 is ok :huepfenjump3:

I may be mistaken with the 20" taller thing? The builder used a micrometer to see the difference in the size of the lobes. And I heard him say the 585's were 20 thou larger ( taller ) looked like about 3 to 4 mm to me.  :-\

Just yanking your chain.  Sorry.  If it's the S&S 585 cams they are .035" or 35 thousandths of an inch taller than the CVO 255 cams.

20" (20 inches)?  That's like almost as big as my... well, never mind, but that's a little over 500 mm.  Hard to fit that in a cam chest (it'd hurt too!).

You probably already know, but your rocker box lids need to be clearanced for the rollers...   :2vrolijk_21:

Yes, it will be done. Also got the SE rocker support brackets.  I am wondering if my valve train will be quieter after it's all done?

Also, any idea why I can't post more than one pick? It lets me do one, ( the roller rockers ) I wanted to post a few more picks I took today with the I phone.  When I try it gives me this massage.

It is not to large as the roller rocker pick was taken with the same I phone. And there is nothing wrong with my server. Any idea what is going on? Cheers.

What brand of oil were you running?  For that much wear on so many parts, it almost has to be an oil issue.  Either quality or delivery.

You could be right.  I was running Syn 3 for the firs year and a half. ( it is a 2010 bike ) The started using the Mzoil synthetic. Always changed on time. I know that you cant trust the oil pressure gauge on the dash, but it was always showing good oil pressure. After the brake in I will only run Mzoil.  What's funny is my bike ran very quiet compared to other 110's I heard. Just had a small amount of ticking around 2500 rpm. So I was very surprised at the wear when I saw it. Cheers.
