It's a K&P oil filter. It has a stainless steel mesh inner filter that you remove, inspect for metal debris, clean out and re use. Very nice filter.

You must be excited to finally get back on your bike.   :2vrolijk_20: :multi:

I wasn't able to go to sleep the night before my dyno tune, just like Xmas when I was a kid.  I bet you're feeling the same way.

Sorry about all the problems, but congrats on the "new" sickle!

Dan

BTW, I noticed the speakers in your lowers.  Are those the Hog Tunes woofers?  If so, how well do they work?

Hey Lilcoot, ya it's bin a long wait and allot of fine fall weather under the bridge. However, will get it back this Sat!!!  And I am very excited, I changed so many parts during this build that it will truly be a new bike.  At least I am all ready for Bike Week now.

Those are the Hog Tunes base woofers in the lowers. I had to get a extra amp ( 40.4 ) to make them work and I must say they sound very nice. They have a boomy kind of poppy base to them that along with the other hog tunes speakers I have sound very good. Can really hear them on the highway. No distortion and crystal clear sound.   The nice thing is that I have a extra channel on that amp left over for my future saddle bag lid speakers. And guess what, Hog Tunes now makes the HD lids and sells them as a complete kit for $600.00  It's not the most complex and expensive system and only cost me around $600.00 so far. So good bang for the buck. I installed it all my self as it's all plug and play with great instructions. Nice and reliable to. Cheers bud.

Does you oil cooler fan screen protect it from road debris?  Looks like the combination of the Baker, lifetime filter and the oil cooler should be a good improvement.  I like the cooler but would really like to see how it is protecting the fins.
Nice Job

I will keep a close eye on the fan status and see what kind on road grime and debris it receives. I wonder if it comes apart easily for cleaning and service?

Is the K&P oil filter a new addition or were you using it previously?

I used to use them but was getting too much crap on the magnetic drain plug, so I went back to the paper element type.

Looks better now.  I know the K&P has great flow-thru but switched back anyway.

Nice photos and build progress!  :pineapple:
