I'm running an '11 FLTRUSE, Cee Bailey TRSSC shield, and have the fairing lowers.  I weigh in at 240, no BSR on this ride.  With the engine mods and tune, which I had done while I was overseas, I wasn't sure how my mpg would be affected.  Spent much of my life in Germany, so I'm still trying to get used to the availability of gas in the US. Been forced down several times with my old Fat Boy, so I wanted to get an idea of how far I could go before I was walking.  Nice to see the work performed was done well!

When I went to Sturgis on my 11 RGU I averaged 44mpg for the entire trip.  Once I get out of Califreakia and get some good gas in it mileage goes up a couple.

I was getting 55mpg on my '09 SERG and then had a SERT tune put on it to make it fatter (a lot) to reduce the running temperature on my 5400mile trip to SWII last year.  It worked, but the richer tune, along with lowers and a chopped tour pack, along with all the packing I did, reduced the mileage to mid 40s.  If I don't sell it, I'd probably thin it out just a bit to swing the pendulum a little more in the other direction.

I must be doing something wrong.   :nixweiss:  My '12 cuse7 is bone stock but I am hard pressed riding two up to get anything better than high 30s, maybe broke 40 on a couple occasions tooling around back roads in the 45-60 mph range.  When I do have to take to the superslab and get 'er up to 70+ my mileage goes down to about 33 mpg.

This is pretty much what I have gotten on my '07 cuse2 also.

I don't baby them to try to get better mileage but then again I don't ride 'em all that hard.  Happy with what I've got but with the price of fuel these days it would be nice to increase it.

i'm the same as you. i have a '12 seeg, i have a fuelmoto catless head pipe, fullsac 2" baffles in the stock cans and a tts with a tune. typically on the hwy running 75ish, no lowers 2 up ( me 235# and bsr 120#) at 175 miles i'm looking for fuel with the fuel light on. i had a 2011 ultra with a 96"  with cams and exhaust tuned on a tts and got the same mileage too!  people i ride with are always getting the same amount of fuel that i am at fuel stops on non cvo limiteds. so i am very skeptial when i see these claims of 40+ mpg. if they are true please let me know your secret. i also did not buy it for the gas mileage but more would be better on road trips. i won't even mention where it is at pulling the bushtec trailer over 80 mph.......

Depends a lot on where and how your riding.  High altitude, high speed = Low MPG  Sea level and 60 mph = high mpg.  I just finished a 4700 mile ride and kept track of my mileage on the entire trip. See attached.

I get about the same and maybe worse with my CUSE8. Nearly same setup. Are you running SEPT. Wonder if that's my problem?

That's amazing to me.  I get about 40 mpg. I'm happy as a lark.  And I have to keep it under 80.  Maybe that's what my milage sucks.  :nixweiss:

Wife and I went on 243.8 mile Cool Cruz yesterday with the lowers on, temps in low 60's upper 50 when we got home.
Filled it up 5.3 gallons =46 mpg. 55 TO 70 MPH with the occasional rip up to 80 or so.

I have a question for those who get close to 50 mpg,,,   What kind of speeds do you normally travel at?  I ride with a group that likes to turn the throttle,,,we average about 80 at anytime conditions permit. Stuart.
