Ghost Pipe Installed!
« on: October 13, 2013, 03:13:03 PM »

In MV I was pondering adding the ghost pipe for my D&D exhaust, then got a hankering to do it, so thanks to the generosity of Chip (SBB) and Don (Twolanerider), I got the pipe and the original stock bracket needed for the install.  Attached are some photos as requested by Chip.  So Chip, here ya go.

While doing the exhaust, I also changed out my swingarm rubber donuts and motor mount.  Didn't go with the HD stuff, but rather switched to the new GlidePro urethane bushings and motor mount.  Quite frankly I wasn't expecting such a significant improvement, mainly due to the fact there was nothing wrong with the HD stuff I took out and really had no reason to change other than curiosity.  Really like the swingarm system, quality stuff and the motor mount works as advertised, no vibration transmitted to the handle bars, even with my high lift cams!  Bike handled well before, now it handles great, can't wait to get some high speed sweepers in!

glad they did a good job for you. They usually get parts in and out quickly too. The bike looks great. And of course thanks to the now greater aerodynamic equilibrium that comes with having a pipe on each side I'm sure your top speed and fuel economy have at least doubled!

Looks AWESOME, Pete! Welcome to the Fake Pipe Club! Baggers just don't look right to me with just one pipe.  :2vrolijk_21:

Looks good. Is the 2 into 1 the V&H pro pipe?

What does the bike sound like?
Did you notice an improvement in performance?

I have a 2012 CVO Street Glide and thinking of a 2 into 1 system.

Thanks Nick
