Hoist, don't know about the 02's but if you are thinking t-header, be ready for loud and nasty. Have one on my 96 wide glide and it loves to set off car alarms in town. ;D ;D But I can say performance is very good.

Yeah. Now that you mention it, 2>1's are usually louder than 2 separate mufflers. I think Thunderheader makes true-duals for FL's now. Maybe they're a little quieter. I have Supertrapp 2>1 w/ racing end cap on my 89" Pro Street. It's pretty wicked sounding. Hoist

D&D was the first to ship with them i mean the bungs already in the correct place and they have it for all the pipes they make.

Thunderheader hasnt released one yet that I know of ... I don't think I missed it, but ya never know.

Rinehart has released the True Duals and there is also a company selling the 2 into 1 with Bungs in it.

Thanks for the info Harry. I got a meesage from Jamie of Speeds Performance Plus. I asked them some of the same things we've been talking about here. This was his response:
"Hey just did a 110" CVO bike in Galveston, TX rally.

Hoist,

I know Jamie and Wayne.   We played on their dyno some last biketoberfest 2005.

Here is my concern with the power commander its not a bad product but it needs to lie to the ECM to get the job done and it must be carried as an add on.   In the past you could flash your ECM which would allow you to get home if the PC died.   Now with the 07's there are no flashes thus if the PC chits the bed you have 2 choices ride it home without it and hope you dont burn anything up.  Tow it.

Another side problem can be that the Power commander dies and it can actually Zero out the ECM I didnt know about this till last week when my local dealer showed me a bike it happened on.   For me that is enough reason to stay away.   Personally I will probably do the Auto Tune and Thundermax

I tried to put the auto tune on already at biketoberfest, but due to some issues haad to fall back to stock while Zippers worked out the issues,  today I heard that they have worked them out, but I am waiitng for an email saying so.  The issues I know of were the Alarm and Compression Release ones.   I was hoping actually to hear today or tomorrow on it about them.

I have already built my roll your own Air Cleaner, and have pipes already on order.  The air cleaner is on its way from Zippers all the rest of the parts are in hand.

Thanks again Harry. I shot you an e-mail with some additional thoughts I had. But basically, I think I have a handle on the different type of systems out there. I agree, the AutoTune with TMax seems like the best way to go, providing they perfect it. Hopefully by next Spring it will be perfected. As you've read before, I'm still a little concerned about maintaining warranty. I was hoping that HD would give the green light to the SERT and allow us to maintain all warranties. I guess I'd use SE pipes if I had to. If HD says NG, and you're on your own if you use SERT, then who needs them for this anyway. With better products and no warranty to worry about, then AutoTune and True-Duals here we come. You've been really helpful in raising my level of understanding on this subject. I'd like to thank you again and I really do appreciate it! Regards, Hoist!

Hoist,

You state that the Auto-Tune with the T-Max looks like the best way to go. What about the DTT?  They both do the same thing, and cost about the same. Do you have any thoughts on comparing the Zippers set-up to the DTT?

Hey WFP,

Sounds like you have an opinion. What say you? What is it you don't like about the Daytona Twin-Tech (DTT)?

Here's what I see as options for the soon to arrive Cherry Jubilee Jester:

Dealer flash and PowerCommander and Tune $600 -$700?
Screaming Eagle Ract Tuner (SERT) $450 + tune (~$300) = $750
Daytona Twin-Tech (DTT) $850 and no tune, but admittedly lots of tweaking
Zippers ThunderMax (TMax) and Auto-Tune $830 and no tune. Super new and no knowledge on my part about what is required to get it up and running.

Money wise, they're all pretty similar for a first set up and tune.

I spoke to my dealer today about the options for modifying ECM's and maintaining factory warranties. He said that MoCo takes the Company Line when dealing with the Warranty issue. The bike will be warranteed if the mods and SERT are installed and tuned by them. If you get stuck on the road you're dealing with another dealer and the factory. Warranty coverage is then subject to change. The MoCo's position is if you use a SERT and "racing exhaust" you have non-street legally modified your motor. The type of problem will determine if they'll honor it. He said they will only impose this subjective position to motor related issues directly caused by the components that were changed.

Therein lies the dilemma. Do you use a HD solution and "probably' maintain all warranties or use an aftermarket product that you
