Jorge,
That seat looks great. Especially like the red lettering works well with the red in the bike. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Jorge,  Really like the looks of the seat on your bike.  Hope it works well for you.  May need your help too as TC and Harley Diva help me convincing my wife that I need one.

Ride Safe,

Im wondering about the flap where the drivers backrest goes, when the backrest is not on, does that flap become an issue with the rider?? Im leaning towards getting the heated one, and Im not too short, so there are different ones that you can order according to your size???

I see that you are tall so you can order the regular one...the flap doesn't affect the rider because has velcro..it's not an issue....the backrest pad goes in there......

Ride safe,

Jorge

Mike, the flap is not an issue at all, as Jorge mentioned.  It looks like they moved the back portion of the rider's seat up a bit for Jorge, plus he got the nose job.  Jorge is a bit shorter than me, so that must have been the reasoning behind that.  If the stock seat works well for your regarding reach, comfort under your legs, etc, you can just order the seat "stock" with or without heat.  You do not have to get a stitch pattern on the seat without heat, so the stitches you see on mine (Jorge also got the stitch, but no heat) are required to sew the heater in.  If you want your seating position further back, they can probably do that as well, but it will intrude on the passenger portion of the seat.  I'm getting the Wild 1 chubby's for hand/arm positioning.  As mentioned, I got the "nose job" on mine which narrows the front 1/3 of the seat so my legs are closer to the bike when feet are on the ground.  It's only a slight "shaving" of the foam , nothing dramatic.

The backrest assembly is basically a square tube with a pivot/spring mechanism...there is a flap under the flap which covers up the hole when the backrest is not in use...when you install the backrest, you pull the main flap up (secured by velcro), move the small flap covering the hole in which the square tube is located, insert the backrest shaft, put the flap back down on the velcro after inserting a screw to secure the shaft in the socket.  There is an additional adjustable screw at the top of the shaft for adjusting the angle of the backrest.  It's really quite simple, and takes only a minute to install/remove the backrest with a small allen wrench (provided).  You do NOT have to remove the backrest to remove the entire seat, as on the stock HD seat.

More than you wanted to know about shafts, flaps, holes, and screws, I'm sure... :o :o
