If they do, it would be a gesture of good will because it's not a HD part. I wouldn't hold my breath, but will keep my fingers crossed for you.
With a gas charged cartridge...when the gas leaks out, all you have is the spring keeping the fork from collapsing. So you basically have pogo stick. One of the downsides of gas charged as opposed to oil damped cartidges. But the failure rate seems to be low on the Progressive product. But, that labor to replace them can start to add up...
Terry,
The dealer in Tampa has always been great to deal with (which is why I take my bike to them even though they are 100+ miles from me)! Sometimes, they even come and get my bike (as they did this time). I surely have no beef with them. My contact there knows this has been a concern (issue) for quite sometime, even well before my first post about it here, and are standing by to do the labor for free.
I just don't understand why Progressive didn't just go the RMA route with the dealer and have them remove and send in the parts for verification.Coulda had them back by now. Rib Fest is coming up fast and I need my bike back. Last thing I want to do is get it back a day or two before we head out to Kenny Lee's house which is 1000 miles away.
As it stands now, I may trailer again and swing by Woodstock Ga on the way a day earlier and get the Traxxion installed if they can fit me in.
