I didn't care for my RT at all. My GS Adventure on the other hand was more fun than should be allowed on two wheels. That bike oozed character, and the wife loved riding on the back (which is bizarre, since she's only 5'2" tall). Were it not for outrageous oil consumption, I'd still have that bike.
The K16 has more of a relaxed, upright (rather than arms forward and feet back) position that is comfortable for me. Of course, I'll still add highway pegs, but that's just a no-brainer. There's no getting around the fact though that they're just not pretty bikes (in the same way a Harley is). My GS/A was badass to look at, but it wasn't a, "damn that bike looks good" at the gas pump sort of bike.
The K16 ain't either, though it's far from ugly.
I dunno, we'll see what happens at the dealer. I'll either spend the weekend putting everything back on my bike, or loading down the classified section with a bumper crop of parts.
