Picked ‘er up from the dealer after a 10k service and new Dunlops.
Took a little detour on the way home since temps were in the 50’s, and the wind was manageable.

Took a nice 115 mile ride, low to mid 60's.  Overcast but still enjoyable.

Took the boys on a nice 120 mile ride this morning to a local casino.
While we were eating lunch, big Pete won $300!

WE HAD TO PAY FOR OUR OWN MEALS! WTF?

LOL

Weather was cool. 40 degrees and 40 mph breezes. Some gusts were quite a bit more through the passes.
Wind event next 2 days I’m told. We’ll stay near the coast. Warmer and less windy there.

Finally got my cam installed a couple of days ago and first long ride to check for oil leaks, etc.
Everything works as expected.

Took the 2019 CVO out yesterday for a test of my new Otto cast mini CarPlay adapter to see if it would work better than plugging in my iPhone to the usb connector in the little cubbyhole.
Now I can just leave my phone in my pocket.

Rode through the backcountry on one of my usual routes where there is no cell service.
CarPlay seems to work fine with no glitches.

This was my excuse to the wife for letting me out of chores around the property! LOL
Easy 100 mile ride with some puffy clouds and temperatures in the mid to high 60’s
Don’t know why I bought a bike with heated grips and seat!

Freezing rain yesterday and 17 this morning.  Yesterday I took everything out of the saddle bags and trunk on the CVO and Pan America.  Organized and put back in what was needed.  Lot of unnecessary crap in there.

Took a short 150 mile run yesterday as we heard the wildflowers have started popping out in the desert!
Low 70’s and some high clouds, no winds .

After lunch we made a loop past the dragons and out to the fields.

Disappointed that there were just some small patches of purple and just a few yellow ones visible.
Very early in the season for the flowers but we had heavy rains a couple weeks ago and warm weather later. Flowers were confused I guess!

Joe is still frustrated that his CarPlay still isn’t working reliably after multiple trips to the dealer. I told him to get a different dealer, no reason they can’t get it done

At least you could go for a ride.  Been very cold here and lots of brine on the road.  As for Carplay, My dealer reverted my head unit back to the original software then did every up date one at a time.  It's much better but still has issues.  I have found it works best if I do not plug phone in until everything is loaded and phone connects by bluetooth.  There is also a new update out middle of January that is suppose to address some of the carplay issues.

As far as CarPlay I bought a CarPlay wireless adapter that plugs into the USB cable in the bike and my phone stays in my pocket. Everything works as if the phone is plugged into the bike with no issues like I’ve been fighting the last few years

I was trying it out to see if I had to return it but so far it’s working flawlessly.

So far, so good.

On my 24 road glide, I’ve given up on wireless. I’m strictly doing wired and I’ve been having so much better luck and CarPlay’s been staying on. The wireless has been so frustrating and also I find it very unsafe because I start keying on
that while riding,so it’s wired for me.

Wow, that is just the opposite of my 2023.5 CVO.  I have much better results with my iPhone bluetoothed to the bike.  Wired it drops out frequently.

Brutal cold here, 16 degrees and roads are covered with snow.  This might be the longest I have gone with out being able to ride since I moved here 25 years ago.

Brutal cold here in south Florida today also.  32 in palm beach county today 😳😳😳. I hate it.  Can’t wait for it to warm up.  Hopefully by next weekend.  Yes. Having much better luck with wired CarPlay.  Finally getting to smile and enjoy the audio on this bike.

Really nice day here west of Denver for February, made 60 degrees around here.
Took a couple hours ride over the front range through a canyon, up the Peak to Peak Highway,
and back across the Flatirons. Was about 40 degrees on the P2P, which is manageable in
Colorado this time of year!  It’s so great to be able to kick the cover off and ride this time of year!

Took the 2019 CVO to Walmart to pick up some oil yesterday.
They had ONE quart of my Mobil 1 on the shelf!

On the way back, stopped by my vets office to check on one of my dog’s upcoming visit and parked near the flowers.
Quite the sight to see patches of different colors at different places around the county.

Elevations from 300 ft to 6000 ft has way different climates! 85 degrees at home, 50 degrees in the mountains.

Supposed to be warm today and a good time to head to the beach, weekdays are not too crowded.
