Now those are two bridges I would just love to go over on the bike.  Looks like a gas.  The best part would be getting there.

Cheers.

I've just picked up on this thread from a link given by d00d.

I have a good friend over here in Newcastle upon Tyne, England who has just started up a new Tour Company.

He has six bikes in total which he will either rent out or put together a full tour itinerary for wherever his customers want to go. He would start and finish a tour from wherever was wanted in the UK and would be quite prepared to travel throughout Europe.

The bikes are all 07 models - Ultras, Road King, Heritage.

If anyone is interested I'll get you hooked up.

They are building a new bridge that will take you over the Hoover Dam. I got light headed just looking up at the pilings that were built already.  I know it is not as high as the ones in the pics but it sure looked up there to me.

I hope Jorge and Dave pick up on this, do you think he has any connections to assist in shipping from the USA?

The 'Millau Viaduct' (French: le Viaduc de Millau) is a cable-stayed road bridge that spans the valley of the River Tarn near Millau in southern France. Designed by French bridge engineer Michel Virlogeux in collaboration with British architect Norman Foster, it is the tallest vehicular bridge in the world, with one pier's summit at 343 metres (1,125 ft)

Hi Rjob. I'm sure he would be more than willing to look at shipping for you if you wanted him to. It may be that you could put together a group which consisted of people riding their own bikes (shipped in) and some who wanted to use the Rental Bikes that he provides. I'm sure he would be quite happy to come up with a deal for this mix.

He will also just rent bikes out if people want to do their own thing.

Julia,
I can't say that there aren't any bridges a rider shouldn't cross, only because I haven't found any.

Hoist,
I didn't see any locals cheering us on, but the old guy at the station just north of the Yukon river bridge seemed kind of disappointed when we came back down from the Circle stop without any injuries or problems. :o
