What's actually involved with lowering one of these. contemplating buying one but have to address the stubby short leg issue first.

There isn't anything different or special about lowering a Limited versus lowering one of the previous model year Ultra's or Limited's,
other than the new for 2014 front forks with the larger diameter fork tubes. So all the previously cussed and discussed options that applied to the rear of the previous models would also apply to the 2014 Limited, but so far I haven't seen anything in the catalog for the front. I'm sure both Harley and the aftermarket will offer something. You might try calling the folks at Progressive and asking them if they have or plan to have one of their lowering kits available for the new forks.
IMHO you are always better off looking at reshaped seats and footwear choices first, before screwing up the ride and handling by lowering the suspension.
