Hi All,
So I wrecked my beloved 2010 CVO (Riptide Blue) a few days before christmas.
After setteling with the insurance company, I decided to get a 2014 Ultra Limited in Black, I got an awesome deal ($5k below msrp) and put on Chrome wheels, Forks and everything on the handlebars as well as the Boom Power amp and upgraded speakers. It all came to $29k plus tax & tag.
Their werent any CVO's around and I wanted to save some money.
Anyway, after 3 months & 2000 miles, I decided to take the loss (and its disguesting), but I'm picking up a nice shine new 2014 Blue FLHTKSE CVO Ultra Limited and cant wait.
I really miss the power differance and the bling, especially after I put on my Full-sal XD pipe and heir 2" core's and I have an appointment with doc for a tune on the 30th. The 2014 with its twin cooled 103 with all the same stuff dident come close to my doc tuned 2010 with all the same parts.
Now for my question;
Is their anything special that I have to check on my new CVO when I pick it up?
I called the motor co this morning and gave them the vin # and was told the build date was 1-1-14 (I guess their union works on new years day), yea right, and a ship date of mid feb and they said it should all be fine, latest radio update should have already be done (I believe it's 1.17.4) and not subject to the coolant bottle campaign that they had on the first batch of 2014 CVO's.
And before I have doc tune it, should I consider Cams, lifters (I read somewhere on this forum that their are problems with the lifters and inner cam bearings), and if so which one's are recomended. I like goobs of power as low in the powerband as possible.
Doc had me leave the stock 255 came in my 2010, but I was wondering if I should change them.
Thanks in advance for any of your advise.
